Katherine has worked in various child care capacities for the last 23 years. For many years Katherine ran her own home child care program while earning her ECE, then branched out to work in centre-based care and even operated as lead facilitator at an EarlyON. In 2023, Katherine's passion for home child care brought her back to her roots - this time as Little Leaders Supervisor.

Katherine has additional qualifications in Montessori Education, forest schooling, and child care administration, and has always harmoniously incorporated her education into her child care spaces.

The LAND program here at Little Leaders was born from Katherine and a fellow provider's initiate. Little Leaders is forever grateful to Katherine for this contribution to our company.

Moving forward in her role as Supervisor, Katherine will be working administratively in the office supporting parents and providers.

A Note About our Founder

Wendy Miller founded Little Leaders Home Child Care Agency in 1999, after reading about a need for a stronger home child care program in the Toronto Star. She felt that she would have the ability to blend the best of home child care and centre-based care into one loving home child care space, and wanted to bring this vision to life. Over the last 20+ years, child care has changed in many ways, but Wendy’s vision has always remained the same - to create strong, educational, play-based learning programs in Halton’s home child care programs.

After 18 years as the face of Little Leaders, Wendy has taken a step back to enjoy time with her two adorable grandchildren.

Home child care in Halton Region is forever changed, thanks to Wendy’s vision, hard-work, and passion for child care.
